We've heard all the common frustrations - ghosting, mess, hidden costs and poor comms. So, we created 'The Swaye Way' - our promise to deliver the best and most reliable service in Devon.
Do you take your boots off?
Always. We either remove our shoes or slip on our trusty blue overshoes. Your carpet is safe with us.
Do you cover things up?
Yep. Every van is stocked with dust sheets — we don’t decorate your sofa with dust.
Do you clean up?
Of course. We clean as we go, and each van carries a Henry hoover, a dustpan and brush, and baby wipes (for the stubborn bits).
Turn around time on Estimate?
Within 5 working days. No chasing required and you know where you stand.
Turn around time on Invoices?
Also within 5 working days. We keep admin smooth and slick.
Turn around time on Certs and Reports?
Same again — within 5 working days. EICRs shouldn’t feel like waiting for exam results.
What's in the Estimate?
Detail! We break everything down clearly, so you know what’s being done and what it’ll cost.
Can we have different options in the Estimate?
Of course. If there’s more than one way to get the job done, we’ll lay out the choices.
Will I be charged more than agreed?
Nope. The price is the price — no hidden extras or “surprise” costs.
While you're here, could you just...?
If we can, we will! Got a small extra job? If we’ve got time, we’ll happily squeeze it in.
Do you check in once the work is done?
We do. We follow up about a week later to make sure you’re happy with everything.
Can I referr to to a friend?
Please do! And as a thank-you, we’ll put you in our monthly prize draw, if they go ahead with any work.
What if i need advice first?
No problem — it’s free! Just call us and we’ll point you in the right direction (or wire it in).
Do you charge hourly rate?
Depends on the job. Call or email Ryan (our ever-organised office manager), and he’ll send you our call-out and hourly rates.
Do you answer the phone?
We do. Our office is manned during working hours, and we forward calls to an on-call engineer for out-of-hours emergencies. No voicemail tennis here.
Did you recieve my email?
Yep — and you’ll know it. We reply within 24 hours (and double-check that you spelt SWAYE right).
Will you actually turn up?
Yes. We give you a 2-hour time slot so you can plan your day — no all-day waiting around.
Have you booked us in?
Absolutely. You’ll get a confirmation email as soon as your appointment is locked in.
When are you coming again?
We’ll remind you. You’ll get a text 2 days before and again the night before or morning of the job.
How do we know its you?
Swaye Van and Navy blue tops! Look for the van with the sun and the 3 white arrows. That’s us. Branded and proud.
